Mmm I am just updating to say I made this with some broccoli (and grated cheddar cheese) for dinner and man was it ever delicious. A++ Would Eat Again. Best of all it was super-easy! I love Just Hungry/Bento. :3

Shiny new Ubuntu computer, ahoy! Le grandparents brought it up with them today and we went out for lunch and it was lovely! And now we have a desktop and I officially use Linux. What a red letter day indeed!

The best part though is the HUGE MONITOR. I mean to most people it's probably normal sized, but my god compared to the 10" laptop we've been using since Halloween? It's gargantuan. Also it's PERFECT for me to do art on! So hopefully I can end up doing a whole lot more of that, once we figure out how to get the tablet to work properly. (For some reason pressure sensitivity won't work. :C Sobbity sob sob.) Which is nice because A.) I would like to get stronger with digital work and B.) it gives me a way to make finished, shareable pieces without a scanner or materials. Exciting!

She is just TOO ADORABLE. Also light as a feather! I wanted to take more pics but she kept getting knocked over by light breezes.

FINALLY! My Ante shipped! I ordered, confirmed and paid for her on the 27th of February and it feels like it's been 900 years since I ordered her but she's come at last! Hallelujah! I'm super-duper excited, I got the shipping notice last night so she should be here by Friday with any luck!

Con report is coming! In the meantime, I finally took some pictures of Edan on a doll couch I made (and some at the con which I will also add here) in his STUNNING outfit (made by Ukelala on DoA, everyone! go commission her!). Not the best pictures in the world-- my next mission is getting a ship-interior setup going. :> (A future challenge for down the road, to be sure.) And now that I'm back from Sakuracon, I'm going to be furiously working on comics. I'm hoping to have some stuff to take down to Koumoricon this September, including some doujin as well as original works! Wish me luck!

I know I pretty much post this constantly but seriously. Why can't I get commissions. ; ____ ; Whyyyyy I just want to be one of the popular people getting handed money. (Not even very much money! 5 $20 commissions a month would make me happy as a clam, damnit.)

I need another jooooob but I don't know where to look. It is dismal. Economy! Stop it! Political leaders, nationalize the damn banks it will PROBABLY WORK.

Well. Now we are going to have Comcast internet! Which is pretty swank since we got cut a deal because they were doing installation in the area. And after that deal-y year is up he said he'd give us another year at the same price under Veles's name. Sweet, no? Finally no more sitting in certain places in the apartment for better signal! We'll have our OWN internets! Yesssss. It may be Comcast, but hey this is cheaper than anything else and we get a month of it for free as a trial.

I am so excited. :D Yeeey~!

Also hoping to pick up an all-in-one from Bryden and Asuka, depending on what Bryden wants for it. Yeeehaw things are going my way. Okay, poll, which do you think is a better idea: posting my project up as a webcomic and printing bi-yearly (I hope) volumes myself, or trying to get published? (Which might actually result in much slower books!) IF I even get picked up. I'm torn. On the one hand, actual published by a publisher work lends you a certain respectability. On the other, web and self publishing offer a lot more freedom and control.
